Theme and background

 
Mobile Home Architecture Design Competition challenges architects, designers, and creative thinkers to reimagine the concept of mobile homes and create innovative designs that redefine the way we live, work, and interact within these compact and flexible spaces. The competition aims to explore sustainable, functional, and aesthetically appealing solutions that can address the evolving needs of modern society while considering mobility, adaptability, and affordability.
 
Objective
  1. Redefine Mobile Living: Participants should explore ground breaking architectural designs that challenge traditional notions of mobile homes, pushing the boundaries of creativity and functionality.
  2. Sustainability and Efficiency: Designs should incorporate sustainable practices and technologies, promoting energy efficiency, waste reduction, and environmentally conscious materials.
  3. Flexibility and Adaptability: Mobile homes should be designed to accommodate various spatial configurations, allowing for flexible living arrangements, adaptability to different environments, and the changing needs of residents.
  4. Connectivity and Technology Integration: Integration of smart technologies, innovative connectivity solutions, and efficient space utilization should be considered to enhance the overall living experience within the mobile home.
  5. Aesthetics and Emotional Well-being: Participants should focus on creating visually appealing and emotionally comforting spaces that promote well-being, happiness, and a sense of home.
 
Competition Guidelines:
  1. Designs should be adaptable for mobile transportation, considering size and weight restrictions, as well as transportation safety requirements.
  2. Participants are encouraged to explore new construction methods, materials, and technologies that contribute to sustainability and energy efficiency.
  3. Entries should include floor plans, elevations, sections, and perspectives to provide a comprehensive understanding of the design.
  4. Each participant or team may submit only one entry.
 
Site
  • Select a site that best suits the design theme. Site location can be in any part of the world.

Participants may enter as individuals or teams (up to 4 members per team).

Submission Requirements:
  • Participants must submit their designs in the form of digital 2D or 3D visualizations, along with written descriptions explaining the concept, features, and materials used.
  • Design sheets (2 -5) – jpeg. / jpg. format.  (45X45cm – individual sheet)
  • Design description with a title / Name your restaurant (Min. 300 words) – docx. / docs. Format

Evaluation Criteria:
  1. Design Innovation: Uniqueness, creativity, and originality of the concept.
  2. Functionality and  Practicality: How well the design meets the requirements of a mobile home and provides a comfortable living experience.
  3. Sustainability and Energy Efficiency: Integration of sustainable design principles, energy-efficient systems, and materials.
  4. Aesthetics and Emotional Appeal: Visual impact, beauty, and the ability to create an emotionally satisfying living environment.
  5. Technical Feasibility: Practicality of construction, mobility, and adaptability of the design.

Anonymity

Intellectual property

 
The ownership of copyright in the work of all submissions will be in accordance with the Copyright and Patent Act 1988, which implies the copyright rests with the author.
 
No Participants or participants shall receive or be entitled to receive any payment in any form for submissions or for granting Archiol competitions any right herein, other than for being selected as one of the winning the competition entries.
 
Subject to any limitation herein, any design, drawings accompanying any entry or submission remains the property of the Participant and may be used for its or their own purpose. Archiol competitions shall treat an entry or submission as being eligible to enter the Competition under Indian Copyright law.
 
By entering the Archiol competitions competition participants agree on the sharing their entry for making the publication based on the competition results.
